National Year of Reading - Local Ambassadors

Jai Rowell
MP State Member for Wollondilly

"Reading plays a pivotal role in people's lives, whether it allows them to navigate their everyday environments, broaden their intellectual horizons or bring joy into their lives.  As the father of two sons I see how reading provides these opportunities to children and encourages them to be life-long learners. Although I see these benefits for children by reading to and with my own children, I believe that reading opens up the world for both young and old. It is for these reasons that it is an absolute honour to be an ambassador for the Year of Reading for 2012. "
